St. Louis Art Fair features free sets by
area jazz performers September 8, 9 & 10

Since the St. Louis Art Fair is put on by Cultural Festivals, the same organization that stages the US Bank St. Louis Jazz and Heritage Festival, it should come as no surprise that the entertainment lineup for the three-day event includes a number of performers of interest to jazz fans.

This year's Art Fair will be held in Clayton's central business district from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8; from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9; and from 11:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 10. And while the main focus is on showcasing and selling work from 165 professional artists from around the U.S., Europe and Canada, there will be three stages featuring with all sorts of live music and entertainment, including jazz.

Friday's performers will include the SIUE Concert Jazz Band and Rick Haydon with Reggie and Mardra Thomas. On Saturday, the musical lineup includes Anita Rosamond (pictured), El Caribe Tropical, Lamar Harris and Jazz St. Louis' THF Realty All-Star Student Ensemble. And Sunday, jazz fans can enjoy sets by Danita Mumphard and the Todd Mosby Trio.

The St. Louis Art Fair is free and open to the public. You can get more information from their Web site, and see a complete schedule of performers here.
