Organizers say Belleville fest drew 10,000

It appears that the city of Belleville's first-ever Wine, Dine and Jazz Festival, held yesterday in the southern Illinois town's public square, was a success. An article in the Belleville News-Democrat quotes one of the organizers as saying that the free event, which featured music from ten local and regional jazz groups, drew a crowd estimated at 10,000 people before 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
