Chris BottiMusic programs are a staple during the pledge drives of St. Louis PBS affiliate KETC, and in recent years the station has begun offering viewers first crack at tickets to local concerts by performers featured on those programs as an incentive for becoming a member. The station's current offers include tickets to three different upcoming concerts that may be of interest to jazz listeners.
First up, chronologically speaking, is pianist and singer
Jamie Cullum, who will return to St. Louis once again to play
The Pageant on Tuesday, September 23. The Pageant's Web site lists the show among their coming attractions, but refers those interested in buying tickets to the KETC Web site. However, when you look at the
list of pledge premiums on KETC's site, the Cullum show is nowhere to be found. But fear not, O intrepid reader, for by inserting Cullum's name into the standard format used by every other URL on the page, you can find your way to the order form for his concert
here, and lay down a pledge of $180 to secure ducats to the show.
KETC is also offering tickets to upcoming concerts featuring the
Glenn Miller Orchestra (
Friday, October 13 at the Chase-Park Plaza Hotel) and trumpeter
Chris Botti (
Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Touhill Perfomring Arts Center) at, respectively, $180 and $160 per pair.
