Downtown block party this Saturday
includes jazz groups

The "East Meets West Downtown Block Party" to be held in St. Louis this Saturday, June 17 will include a number of musicians and groups of interest to jazz listeners. The free event will feature four stages located along Washington Avenue between 7th and 16th, plus an additional stage at Locust and 11th.

Music begins at noon and continues until 8 p.m., with scheduled performers including Erin Bode, Willie Akins, the Downtown Trio, Farshid Etniko, the Carolbeth True Trio and Debby Lennon, as well as a number of rock, blues, funk and folk acts. In addition to live music, the event will also include an exhibit of vintage motorcycles at Washington and 17th, plus art exhibits and sales in a number of storefronts in the area.
