The StLJN Saturday cartoon:
"Dixieland Droopy"

For this Saturday's 'toon with a jazz soundtrack, we once again visit the vintage vault to bring you "Dixieland Droopy," a 1954 short directed for MGM by animation legend Tex Avery and starring his creation Droopy Dog.

The soundtrack, which includes the familiar "Tiger Rag," was arranged by Scott Bradley, who scored more than 300 animated cartoons in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. I guess that makes him second only to Carl Stalling in the annals of vintage animation music. Enjoy!
