Dianne Reeves to open fall series at
Washington University's Edison Theater

Dianne Reeves

Following up on an earlier item, it's now confirmed that singer Dianne Reeves will kick off the 2006-2007 OVATIONS series at Washington University's Edison Theater with a concert on Friday, September 30. This show should attract a lot of local interest, as the multiple Grammy Award winner is currently enjoying heightened public attention thanks in part to her participation in the recent film Good Night, and Good Luck, and her band includes St. Louis native Peter Martin as pianist and music director.

Unfortunately, Reeves' concert is the only one on the upcoming OVATIONS schedule likely to interest most jazz fans, but if you'd like to see the complete list of musical, dance and theatrical presentations in the series, visit their Web site.
