This weekend's Post-Dispatch has an article by pop music critic Kevin Johnson looking at three St. Louis acts who have made their careers working almost exclusively in their hometown.
Multi-instrumentalist brothers the Bosman Twins are included to represent the local jazz scene, along with variety band Fanfare and R&B crooner Ralph Butler. Nothing particularly revelatory, though it is interesting to note one commonality among all three acts: to stay busy and earn decent money, they seem to rely on corporate and private gigs, as opposed to clubs and other public performances.
