This week, let's get right to it and catch up with some recent live streams from various St. Louis venues and presenters , starting up top with The Gaslight Squares in a set of traditional jazz recorded for Mardi Gras on Fat Tuesday this year at Focal Point.
After the jump, you can see a video of solo sets from guitarists Wendy Eisenberg and Kee Avil, as presented originally by New Music Circle on February 8.
That's followed by a set from Farshid Etniko and the Internotes, recorded on January 27 at Focal Point. In addition to the leader on guitar, the band includes Brian May (drums, percussion), Marc Torlina (bass), Luke Sailor (piano), and Thomas Jöstlein (French horn).
Next up, it's guitarist Joe Park and the Hot Club St. Louis with a show of swing and Gypsy jazz recorded at The Sheldon.
The fifth video is another New Music Circle production, originally presented this past Monday, March 1, and featuring solo performances by electronic musician JJ Hamon and percussionist Louis Wall.
The final video, recorded on February 5 at Jazz St. Louis, festures a set from Verhachi, a trio that includes Joel Vanderheyden (saxophone, vocoder, live-loops, beats), Vincent Varvel (guitar, effects), and Joe Pastor (drums, loops).
