Wynton Marsalis, JaLCO Septet to stream benefit concert for The Sheldon on Sunday, November 15

Trumpeter Wynton Marsalis and a septet of musicians from the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra will perform in a streaming concert to benefit educational programs at The Sheldon at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 15.

The concert, titled "The Sound of Democracy," will feature newly composed works and arrangements by Marsalis (pictured) and other JaLCO members around the theme of freedom and democracy.

In addition to Marsalis, the septet includes Elliot Mason (trombone), Ted Nash (alto sax), Walter Blanding (tenor sax), Dan Nimmer (piano), Carlos Henriquez (bass), and Obed Calvaire (drums).

Patron tickets for the event are $150 each, and will include free registration for a four-week Zoom class from Jazz at Lincoln Center's "Swing University," details TBA.

Individual Underwriter tickets ($250 each) and Event Sponsorships ($5,000) also include the Zoom class plus additional benefits.
