* Performances by the Gaslight Squares last week at the Champaign-Urbana Folk and Roots Festival prompted two favorable reviews on the local website SmilePolitely.com.

* Miles Davis' custom-built "Moon and Stars" trumpet (pictured) last week was sold at auction for $275,000 to the owner of the Blue LLama jazz club in Ann Arbor, MI.
