Euclid Records, the independent record store in Webster Groves that offers an extensive selection of jazz (and many other genres as well), will be moving to a new location in 2013.
In a news release on Friday, Euclid owner Joe Schwab said he's buying a building at 19 North Gore in Webster, roughly a mile west of the store's current location at 601 E. Lockwood. The store's new neighborhood, known as the Old Webster business district, also is home to Robbie's House of Jazz and the annual Old Webster Jazz & Blues Festival, and indie music retailer Webster Records was a fixture there for decades until closing in January of this year.
The plan for Euclid Records is continue operating in the current space through Record Store Day 2013, which takes place on April 21, then move and re-open in the new space the first week of May. You can read the full text of the news release on the Euclid Records blog here.
