Via a post by classical music critic Sarah Bryan Miller on the Post-Dispatch's Culture Club blog: The Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra will perform the music of Duke Ellington, Woody Herman, and Glenn Miller at an “SLSO Presents:” concert called “Swing, Swing, Swing” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 9 at Powell Symphony Hall, 718 N. Grand Blvd.Victor Vanacore (pictured) will be the guest conductor for the evening, and members of the A Tall Order dance company also will perform at the concert. Tickets are $20 to $75 and can be purchased online at www.slso.org, by phone at 314-534-1700, or in person at the Powell Hall box office.
