Speaking of Erin Bode, the singer is headed back to Minnesota this weekend for a return engagement on Sunday, March 8 and Monday, March 9 at the Dakota jazz club and restaurant in Minneapolis.
The Dakota is the Twin Cities' premiere jazz room, and Bode's gig, coming between an appearance by pianist Kenny Werner's trio and a one-nighter by the all-star SF Jazz Collective, gets a nice mention here as part of a story about coming attractions at the club on the locally based-based Web site Jazz Police. Bode grew up in Minnesota before moving to St. Louis to attend Webster University.
