The Touhill Performing Arts Center has just announced that versatile singer Al Jarreau, the only vocalist ever to win Grammy Awards in the jazz, pop and R&B categories, will perform at the hall on Friday, February 13.Jarreau almost came to St. Louis most recently in 2007, when he had been scheduled to provide the music for the Jazz St. Louis benefit gala but canceled to go on tour with guitarist/singer George Benson. (He was replaced at that event by the Neville Brothers.) Jarreau's two most recent CDs, Love Songs and Christmas, both came out in 2008.
Ticket prices for the February 13 show will range from a low of $30 to $100 for "Gold Circle seating," which includes the closest seats in the house and allows ticket holders to bring drinks into the performance hall.
