Via an email from Brett Underwood (who's recently added "blogger" to his multi-hyphenate resume), word comes that the Lemp Neighborhood Arts Center has added two concerts of improvised music to its schedule.
Saxophonist Bhob Rainey, who's made Christmas week stops at LNAC the last couple of years, will be back in St. Louis next Tuesday, December 23 to perform a solo concert at the venue.
Then on Saturday, January 17, percussionist Tatsuya Nakatani will visit the LNAC to conduct a daytime workshop dealing with improvisation and extended percussion techniques, followed that evening by a concert that will feature collaboration with local performers.
Show time for both events is 8:00 p.m., and each has a $5 admission charge.
