Bassist and former St. Louisan Dan Loomis will be back in his old hometown with the jazz group The Wee Trio on Thursday, April 24 to perform at the Lucas School House.The band, which also includes vibraphonist James Westfall and drummer Jared Schonig, came together through a series of jam sessions in Brookyn, NY, where Loomis now lives. Their debut CD Capital Diner Vol. 1 features original compositions by the trio along with their versions of songs composed by Kurt Cobain, Sufjan Stevens, and Thelonious Monk.
