Veteran St. Louis radio personality Edie "Bee" Anderson has a new venture, an Internet radio station that includes jazz as a major part of its programming.
LouRadio features "a special blend of Straight Ahead and Smooth Jazz with sprinkles of classic R&B, inspiring poetry, interviews, information, entertainment, and empowering spoken word messages," with a playlist of artists including Nancy Wilson, Miles Davis, Phil Perry, Fourplay, Joe Sample, Billie Holiday, Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Ahmad Jamal.
To access the online stream and see the schedule, which includes programs hosted by Anderson, fellow St. Louis radio vet/author/professor Bernie Hayes, and East St. Louis Mayor Alvin Parks, visit LouRadio's Web site.
