Jazz St. Louis, SIU-E to host band director academy in July

Jazz educators from all over the country will come to St. Louis this summer when Jazz St. Louis, Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and NYC's Jazz at Lincoln Center present JALC's ninth annual Band Director Academy from July 17 to July 19. Academy events will take place on the SIU-E campus and at Jazz at the Bistro. For more information, check out JALC's Web site here.

In other education-related news from Jazz St. Louis, the winter/spring semester of the organization's JazzU student workshops will begin on Monday, January 21, and the program is accepting new students. For more information about JazzU, go here.
