Singer Tony Bennett will be in St. Louis on Saturday night to do a $500-per-ticket benefit concert at the Chase-Park Plaza for the American Liver Foundation.
To help call attention to that event, he did an interview (via email!) with Post-Dispatch pop critic Kevin Johnson that wound up focusing almost entirely on Bennett's recent CD Duets: An American Classic, which features the singer performing with pop and rock performers such as Barbra Streisand, Paul McCartney, Bono, Elton John, Billy Joel, the Dixie Chicks, Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder and George Michael.
