This week's Riverfront Times also announces the slate of nominees for the paper's 2007 Music Awards. This year's nominees in the jazz category include Willie Akins, Hamiet Bluiett, Erin Bode, the Dave Stone Trio and the Brian Sullivan Quartet. You can see the complete list of nominees in all the various categories here. And while there doesn't seem to be a ballot online yet, the event's MySpace page promises "Info on voting to come soon!"
The RFT's annual music showcase, which features performances by many of the nominated bands at venues in and around the Delmar Loop, is scheduled for Sunday, June 3. Award winners will be announced in a subsequent issue of the paper.
