Single tickets for Jazz at the Bistro
2006-07 season go on sale Tuesday

Single tickets for the shows making up Jazz at the Bistro's 2006-07 season will go on sale next Tuesday, August 15. Tickets can be purchased by calling Metrotix at 1-800-293-5949, on the Metrotix website or by visiting any Metrotix location. You can read more about the roster of performers for the season here and here.

In related news, Jazz St. Louis, which produces the Jazz at the Bistro series, has a new look for their Web site, though the current home page says it's "a temporary placeholder while our new website is being developed," and promises "exciting new features on our future site in addition to all of the features we currently offer." (StLJN's sidebar links have been revised to include both the new JSL page and the new home page for the Jazz at the Bistro series.)

Fnally, Edwardsville-based pianist Phil Dunlap emails with news that he and his Trio will be playing JSL's "Jazz on Broadway" series at the Hilton at the Ballpark on Wednesday, September 6. When I talked with JSL executive director Gene Dobbs Bradford this past Wednesday, he said they hope to continue the series beyond the previously announced lineup of performers, and hopes to reveal more performers and dates in the next week or so. More about that, and a little bit about my own experience playing there with Kim Massie this past Wednesday, in an upcoming post.
