The StLJN Saturday cartoon:
"Boogie Woogie Man Will Get
You If You Don't Watch Out"

Let's take one more trip into the vintage animation vault and dig the crazy sights and sounds of "The Boogie Woogie Man Will Get You If You Don't Watch Out," a short issued in 1943 and playing off the wide popularity of boogie-woogie music during that time. It was directed for Walter Lantz Studios by Shamus Culhane, who, as those with long memories may recall, also directed "The Pied Piper of Basin Street," one of the earlier selections in our Saturday cartoons-with-jazz series. The soundtrack was composed by Darrell Calker, who scored many shorts for the Lantz studios.
