Following up on a "Notes from the Net" item from the other day, Terry Perkins alerts me to the fact that those who don't mind driving a couple of hours down I-70 can catch a screening of Ascenseur Pour L' echefaud (Elevator to the Gallows), the 1958 film directed by Louis Malle with a soundtrack by Miles Davis, next month in Columbia MO.
The film is being presented by the We Always Swing jazz series as one of their "Jazz on Film" programs, and will be shown at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19 at Ragtag Cinemacafe in downtown Columbia.
