at the Greater St. Louis Jazz Festival in April
We've been getting a lot of searches recently looking for information on jazz festivals in St. Louis, and so it seemed like a good idea to compile the available information on this year's major events into one post for handy reference. And so...here you go:
Greater St. Louis Jazz Festival
When: Friday, April 21 & Saturday, April 22
Where: Jazz at the Bistro, Touhill Performing Arts Center
Featured performers: Clark Terry, Jeff Hamilton, Tim Ries, Clay Jenkins, Scott Whitfield, Jay Saunders, Jim Widner, Ken Kehner, UMSL Jazz Ensemble, THF Realty All-Stars and various student groups.
Admission: Free for Friday and Saturday daytime performances featuring student groups; $25 for Friday night concert at Jazz at the Bistro; $10, $15 and $20 for Saturday night concert at TouPAC.

US Bank St. Louis Jazz and Heritage Festival
When: Friday, June 23 & Saturday, June 24
Where: Shaw Park in Clayton, MO
Featured performers: David Sanborn, Stanley Clarke & George Duke, Lizz Wright, Dr. John, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Denise Thimes
Admission: Tickets go on sale April 1; pricing has not yet been announced

Old Webster Jazz Festival
When: Saturday, September 23
Where: Gore & Allen Avenues in downtown Webster Groves, MO
Featured performers: The lineup for the 2006 event has not yet been announced. Last year's event included performances by Corey Christiansen, Erin Bode, Wild, Cool & Swingin', Billy Peek, Jeanne Trevor, Kevin Mitchell 4, Leslie Maclean Trio, Webster University Jazz Band and the Webster Groves High School Jazz Band.
Admission: Free.
