St. Louis' Mel Bay Records has released a new CD that pairs local guitarist, author and teacher Rick Haydon with NYC-based guitarist (and frequent visitor to St. Louis) John Pizzarelli. Just Friends features the two men playing in a quartet setting with drummer Tony Tedesco and bassist Martin Pizzarelli, with an emphasis on swinging versions of familiar tunes.
