Jazz photo exhibit opens at the Sheldon on February 18

The Sheldon Art Galleries (located right next to the Sheldon Concert Hall) will present an exhibition called "Jazz Moves: Photographs by Anthony Barboza" beginning February 18 and running through April 8. Barboza has chronicled the New York jazz scene since the Sixties, and has also done fashion and illustrative for many major magazines and publishing companies. The 40 photos in this show include pictures of Miles Davis, Sun Ra, Oliver Lake and many other jazz stars.

An opening reception will be held Saturday, February 18 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Gallery hours are noon to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, noon to 5 p.m.on Wednesdays and Fridays; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and one hour prior to Sheldon performances and during intermission.
