Jamie Cullum to play The Pageant on March 14

Jamie Cullum: The future of jazz, or a hyper-caffeineated
Harry Connick Jr. knock-off? You make the call.

This just in: British jazz-pop phenom Jamie Cullum will make his St. Louis debut at The Pageant on Tuesday, March 14. The show is being welcomed by KETC - Channel 9, which offered tickets as premiums during their recent pledge drive. Despite multiple airings during the drive of a performance special featuring the young singer-pianist, the station's patrons didn't quite manage to buy up all the seats, so the rest are going on sale to the general public this Friday, January 13, via the Pageant box office and Ticketmaster.

UPDATE/CORRECTION, 1/19/06: Actually, this won't be Cullum's St. Louis debut - he's played here at least once before, in August 2004 at the Sheldon. Thanks to G.S. for the info.
