Danita Mumphard
Vocalist Danita Mumphard will celebrate the release of With Love, her first jazz CD, with a gig at Cookie's on Saturday, October 15. Though I haven't heard the CD yet, I'm looking forward to getting a review copy, as Mumphard comes from a distinguished family in St. Louis jazz. Her father Harold Thompson is the bassist for the long-running local jazz group Trio Trés Bien, who have been entertaining local audiences since the Gaslight Square era, and also back Mumphard on the new CD.
