The Gramophone, the new live music venue and bar in the Grove neighborhood, will kick off its grand opening weekend on Friday, March 14 with music by the Erin Bode Group.
The club, located at 4243 Manchester Ave., between Tower Grove Ave. and
Boyle Ave., will be open Tuesday through Saturday nights and will feature live music from various genres, including jazz, blues, funk, bluegrass and rock. The news release about the grand opening says that "a typical week at The Gramophone will feature live jazz on Tuesdays; STLBlues.net night on Wednesdays with national and local blues artists; Sound Clash, a mix of funk, soul and rock spun by DJs Needles and Crucial on Thursdays; and various national and local acts on Fridays and Saturdays."
In addition to Bode, other jazz groups on the Gramophone's schedule for March include trombonist Lamar Harris' Quartet on Tuesday, March 18 and Orange on Tuesday, March 25.
