Two smooth jazz shows coming
to the Pageant in July

Smooth jazz fans in St. Louis have something to look forward to this summer, as two package shows featuring well-known smooth jazz artists are booked to play the Pageant on consecutive Fridays in July.

On Friday, July 14, the Guitars and Saxes tour, a perennial entry on the summer circuit, makes another stop in St. Louis. This year's edition features guitarists Jeff Golub and Peter White and saxophonists Richard Elliot and Gerald Albright. On the following Friday, July 21, the Rendezvous All-Stars make their debut in the Gateway City with a lineup featuring saxophonist Kirk Whalum, guitarist Jonathan Butler, bassist Wayman Tisdale and keyboardist Brian Simpson.

Both concerts are being presented by radio personality Rick Sanborn under the name "Rick Sanborn's Smooth Summer Party," with a special ticket price of $60 for reserved seating for both shows, or $35 for an individual reserved seat. Tickets will be available from the Pageant box office or through Ticketmaster.
