I have been looking for one of my father's (Lester Thomas) and his brother's (Leroy Richardson) relatives -- Luther Thomas.... too bad now I will never know if we are related.. The music connection is a big positive coincidence. nina thomas-warfieldSOOKIEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00596458827921018533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12394500.post-34982390348615540782009-11-19T10:27:54.042-06:002009-11-19T10:27:54.042-06:00I am finding this hard to believe.

I am very surprised to hear this.

I will always hold in memory his music, thoughts and words from my association with him as tour manager of James Chance (which Luther played with during the tour) in 1996. My condolences to his family. I played with Luther many years ago and all I can say is, he was one extraordinary musician...from "bird-ish" bop to Avant-garde, Luther could play it all, he really could. His death is a surprise to us all... my condolence to his family

Jay DubzAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
