On the first day of the new year, here's a wrap-up of assorted links and short news items of local interest from the final week of the old year:

* Radio Arts Foundation-St. Louis has made Calvin Wilson's Saturday night jazz program "Somethin' Else" available as part of their app for smart phones and tablets. The program airs at 8:00 p.m. Central time on Saturdays.

* Saxophonist David Sanborn has posted to Facebook some photos from his recent gig at the Blue Note Tokyo.

* Keyboardist Timothy "T.C." Chandler of the Coleman Hughes Project and singer Dennis Edwards' Temptations Review was profiled in the Belleville News Democrat.

* Singer/guitarist Tommy Halloran has made his latest album State Streets available to stream in its entirety on YouTube.

* The Funky Butt Brass Band has posted a number of videos from their 2015 "Holiday Brasstravaganza" to their YouTube channel.
