* In advance of his gig tonight with pianist Craig Taborn at The Stage at KDHX, multi-instrumentalist and composer Roscoe Mitchell (pictured) sat down for a Q&A session with KDHX's Alex Cunningham, and also had a few words with the Post-Dispatch's Calvin Wilson.

* Wiring, the most recent album by Trio 3 - saxophonist and former St. Louisan Oliver Lake, bassist Reggie Workman and drummer Andrew Cyrille - with guest pianist Vijay Iyer, was reviewed by Gapplegate Music Review.

* The new Clark Terry documentary Keep On Keepin' On was reviewed by the Boston Globe.
