The Riverfront Times this week announced the winners of the paper's 2010 Music Awards, which are selected by reader vote. Veteran saxophonist Willie Akins (pictured) won the 2010 award for "Best Jazz Artist." Other 2010 winners include the Funky Butt Brass Band for "Best Funk/Soul/R&B (Group)," multi-intrumentalist Lamar Harris for "Best Funk/Soul/R&B (Solo Artist)" and Alvin Jett and the Phat Noiz Blues Band for "Best Blues Artist/Band."
