Singer Sylvia McNair (pictured), who made her name in opera and classical music before turning to Broadway, cabaret and jazz, will perform material from the Great American Songbook for the sixth annual Evening of Hope, a cabaret-themed benefit concert to be held Thursday, May 6 at the Sheldon Concert Hall.Proceeds from the event will support the Hope Center for Neurological Disorders at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
Tickets start at $250 each, and include cocktails and buffet dinner, a ticket to the concert and a dessert reception with McNair following the concert. Concert-only tickets also will be available through MetroTix for $25 each. For more information, visit www.hopehappens.org.
