City of Gabriels: The History of Jazz in St. Louis 1895 - 1973, the eagerly anticipated new book by St. Louis jazz DJ, photographer and historian Dennis Owsley, will reach area bookstores on Friday, September 1. The tome is the product of more than 20 years of research and writing by Owsley, who hosts "Jazz Unlimited" on KWMU 90.7 FM from 9 p.m. to midnight every Sunday.
