Thanks to the success of Just Friends, his recent duo CD with John Pizzarelli, guitarist Rick Haydon is starting to get some recognition among jazz fans outside the St. Louis area. Haydon will be appearing at this weekend's US Bank St. Louis Jazz and Heritage Festival, and the Belleville News-Democrat's Teri Maddox has tied into the event with a profile of Haydon that also touches on his CD and a recent article about him in 20th Century Guitar magazine (which, unfortunately, is not available online).
